Seeing an Overview
Sometimes you need a 37,000-foot view of the work your team is doing. Basecamp 4 has a number of ways to help you see the big picture across your projects.
Lineup
The Lineup is a visual timeline showing you what was just worked on, what's in play now, and what projects are coming up next. The Lineup is a great way to keep your eye on what's happening right now without losing sight of what your team has already accomplished and what's on the horizon. :
The Lineup displays projects according to the start and end dates you've added. You can add dates to a project when you create the project, or later from the project details page, available from the ••• options menu at the top right of the main project page.
Move the Needle and Mission Control
How does your team feel a specific project is coming along? What's a project's current status? Find out by looking at the needle at the top of the project:
The needle is a subjective measurement provided by the folks working on the project. It's more than just checked boxes, it's your team telling you how it really is.
Use Mission Control to see all the needles in your projects. It's available from your Activity link in the top toolbar. You can see the health of all your ongoing projects; what's at risk, what's going well, and what really has your team sweating:
Latest Activity
Maybe you just want to see everything that is happening as it happens. That's where the Latest Activity comes in. It's the first page you'll see when you click on the Activity link in the top toolbar of your Basecamp 4 account. This page will show you all of the posts and added items in all your projects:
You can filter this activity by people or projects, when you want to get a little more granular.
